Aphorism comes from the Greek and describes a sharpened wording of a thoughts or insight in the literary.
The first written texts of this manner date from the 3rd millennium before Christi and are the work of a Babylonian poet. Named giving these are the «aphorismoi» of Hippokrates for this text genre.
