Till the middle of June, 2013 the state of affairs was clear. The successor for the Nikon D300 should be the Nikon D800 with the objective NIKKOR 70-200mm f/2.8G ED-IF AF-S VR and NIKKOR 24-70mm f/2.8G ED AF-S.
And then the exhibit came in the Museum of Design, Zürich about René Burri; Swiss; Magnum Photographer - the Che Guevara icon is from him; Leica bearer - literally(!) - he bear always two Leicas with itself, one for colour and one black-and-white.
An lively discussion broken out about Nikon versus Leica. With myself and - mainly - also with my colleague Dasti - he is the «Da» from RoDaBo - in the lunchtime and from December, 2013 mainly by email.
Here the determining parts our electronic correspondence from this time. What already knows the NSA, I do not want to keep from you. That's democratic.

I fight at the moment a war on several fronts with myself:
1. Front: Nikon D800
2. Front: Nikon DF (Case like the F3, everything mechanically about cog
adjustable, with the inner life of the D4.)
3. Front: Leica M
4. Front: status quo (Actually, it passes my D300 for my photographic
everyday life / needs.)
The weight (about 3.5 kg) completely speaks against Nikon during travelling ... and generally. But the price of the Leica is simply huge (about 148'900.- CNY) ... and I notices ... sometime I will have one, but is 'sometime' now ... or is them, nevertheless, only mine - midlife crisis - Eston Martin? quel problème! :)
