After about five weeks quiet, Palestinian extremists commit two suicide assassinations in Israel. Five persons are the victim of this. After that, the Israeli army encircled once more the headquarters of Arafat in Ramallah and puts almost the whole building complex in ruins within ten days.

October 7th: In the Gazastrip the Israeli army answers a Palestinian attack on a Jewish settlement with a tankventure to the city of Khan Yunis and fires out of a fight helicopter into a crowd. Altogether 14 civilians are killed, about 80 are hurt.

October 30th: The secretaries of the haAwoda, under them also Shimon Peres as a Secretary of State, leave the government of Ariel Sharon.

November: The secretaries of the caretaker government are determined. Under them Shaul Mofaz, former general chief of staff of the IDF, when new defense secretary and Benjamin «Bibi» Netanyahu, secretary president of 1996-1999 as the new Secretary of State.
