.03 March 22nd: The spiritual leader and founder of the organization Hamas, Sheikh Ahmed Jassin, is killed at an Israeli air raid in Gaza.
.04 April 17th: For only 26 days is the Palestinian Abdel Asis Rantisi (56), as a successor of Hamas head Sheikh Ahmed Jassin in the office, the destiny of his predecessor catches up with him there: He is hit by Israeli rockets and soon afterwards dies in the hospital.
.06 June 30th: After a judgment of the colonel court of justice of Israel, Israel must change the course of the Anti-Terrorist Fence on a 30 km long part in favor of the Palestinian population. In the mentioned verdict of the Supreme court of justice it is called, that everything must be done to restrict the impairments of the conditions of life of the Palestinians to a minimum in the area concerned, even if this happens to disadvantage of the safety of Israel.
.07 July 9th: The international court of justice in Den Haag describes by 14:1 (all against the USA) the safety fence, set up by Israel, as international law adverse against the occupied Palestinian areas.
July 22nd: The UN General Assembly asks Israel to dismantle his safety fence in the West Jordan Areas.
.08 August 28th: Sigi Feigel dies in Zurich in the age of 83 years, president and honorary chairman of the Israelite Cultusgemeinde Zurich (ICZ). He was a dedicated fighter for tolerance and against anti-Semitism and racism.
August 31st: 16 Israelis are killed at explosions in two busses in Beerschewa, besides the two Palestinian suicide assassin. It is the heaviest attack in Israel since October 2003.
.10 October 6th: The Israelis Aaron Ciechanover and Avram Hershko as well as the U.S. American Irwin Rose get the Nobel prize for chemistry for her work of the specific mining of proteins there no more needed in the body.
October 7th: At terrorist attacks on Israeli tourists, in the spas Taba on the Egyptian Sinai peninsula, 34 people are killed.
October 26th: The Israeli Knesset agrees to the plan of Prime Minister Ariel Sharon to vacate the Gaza strip and four settlements in Cisjordanien. 67 representatives voted for, 45 against Sharon's plan.
.11 November 11th: Yasser Arafat dies in the military hospital in Percy at Paris. Jassier Arafat is buried in Ramalla, the seat of the Palestinian autonomyauthority.
.12 December 1st: In the quarrel about the budget 2005 the ruling coalition of the Prime Minister Ariel Sharon breaks. His tallest partner, the Shinui party, votes against the budget. Sharon takes negotiations - according to the formal approval by his Likud party at this - 9.12. - for the formation of a new government with the Avoda and conservative religious groups within the following days.
