Tuesday, 8th July - after the visit last year the expectations of Yosemite Valley were big of course. And - the Valley was different than I had expected it. It was not April but July. Besides, since June a heat wave ruled over California, which the flows read to rivlets and lakes to pool neglected.
Since begin July the tourists flooded the valley. Red, blue and green elastic boats in masses on Mercedes River did not correspond completely to my image and memories of the past visits.
During two and a hafe weeks informed me of the Weather-Channal from the boob tube almost daily that in my place of residence is to be calculated on «serious thunder-storms» - and nothing happened. In this afternoon a storm cloud after the others poured forth during about one hour flood-like above the valley.
Thus it came, that I had to proclaim the picture crisis for this day in the evening and still took up fast on the way back the evening mood as a day motive. A motive, which otherwise it would not even have reached, on the CCD sensor.
