Yellowstone Nationalpark - Geyser Country |
Friday, 27th June - With «Geyser Country» the southwest of the Yellowstone NP is called. There it hisses, bubbles and steams from more than 200 geysers and about 10'000 hot springs - 62% of all hot springs in the world.
With the geyser it concerns a special kind of hot springs with which the water cannot circulate underground fast enough and, therefore, escapes, while it high splashes in the air. Everything else to hot springs and geysers is described quite wonderfully in Wikipedia. |
