Wednesday, 28th July - it passes over nothing thus a really hot summer day in NYC! He lets completely forgotten who and where is one. Then I also had to bring myself immediately several times from the heat in the street gulches in any shopping-mall in safety.
In spite of this heat I still succeeded to use the Tramway - a cable railway about the West Channel of the East Rivers and to go for a walk sometimes on the seniorisland Roosevelt Island to marvel at the extraordinary steel construction of the Queensboro Bridge. Unfortunately, the United Nations had already closed - the Chagall Windows must still have a little patience with me. But maybe it works still during the next days. Apropos heat: last night - after the Beige - I had to buy to myself new 7day MetroCard, because mine had expired. When I wanted to use them today the first time - to go back in the Central Park - I found them nowhere more and I had certainly no man's visits! What does tourist, he buys himself anew! Pitch, because he has now two, one in the breast pocket of the T-shirt and one in the trouser pocket. Twice does not hold better?! Also today somebody still has birthday: Thomas R. becomes 28! Happy Birthday, dear Thomas! |
