June / July, 2008 - To make my life-«todo»-list a little smaller, I had this tour by six US federal states, seven national parks and 5100 mi of distance tackled.
It led me from Seattle to the Mount St. Helens NP (18,19) and Mount Rainier NP (20). Afterwards over Yakima (WA), Spokane (WA), Kalispell (MT) to the Galcier NP (23). Alls then via Helena (MT) (24) to the Yellowstone NP (26,27,28,29) and Grand Teton NP (30).
The second part of the tour led over Jackson (WY), Ogden (02) near Salt Lake City (UT), Scipio (UT) on the Route 50 by the Great Basin NP (03) to Mammoth Lake (CA) (05,07) - to the eastern section of the Yosemite NP (07). From there it went in the western section of the Yosemite NP in the Yosemite Valley (08,09,10) - in which I also already in 2007 and 1999.
The third part of the tour, should lead, actually, after a short visit in San Francisco (CA) (11,12,13), on the California State Route 1 about Big Sur, Morro Bay (CA) to the terminator point of the tour - Los Angeles (CA) (14,15,16,17). The drive on the California State Route 1 prevented the forest fires in the Big Sur. Thus there was speedy «A to B»-drive on the Interstate 5 and an additional day in San Francisco (CA) (12).
